Why would one buy a gaming “LAPTOP”?

Recently, I have been thinking about getting into gaming.

At first, I wanted to go for a PS5 as it was much cheaper than a Gaming PC or a Laptop.

But people told me that console gaming can get expensive in the long-term even though you will only be paying $400 right now.

Then I decided to buy a gaming pc, those were expensive (at least the ones with the specs I wanted were).

As I also work from home in a full-time remote job and wanted something I could also use for my work.

Then I looked into Gaming Laptop, they are cheaper than a Gaming PC but very poor in terms of battery life and portability.

I was wondering why someone would buy a gaming laptop.

It has very poor battery life even for non gaming related tasks

Since the battery life is poor, it is not portable. And portability is the only reason why someone would get a gaming laptop over a gaming pc.

So let me know your thoughts. Why did you buy a gaming laptop over a console or a pc?
