Restore a QuickTime preview rotated video

SYSTEM SPECS: Apple Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16Gb Ram
SOFTWARE SPECS: Quicktime 10.5 & Gopro Player 2.2
FOOTAGE SPECS: MP4 5.3k 25fps 8:7

I have been filming with the GoPro with hypersmooth off so I can stabilize in post afterward with Reelsteady. While previewing the clip in the finder window I thoughtlessly rotated the clip so that I could just quickly watch it the right way up.

Afterward I've opened up Gopro player and it won't now stabilize the clip. After doing the rotation in QuickTime preview, QuickTime has removed the gyrodata from the video file and Gopro player won't read it.

I can't find any way to undo this action of rotation. Is there any way to restore the video file with the correct gyro data?
