‘Cobbers’ memorial. Fromelles. Dedicated to the fallen of the 5th Australian Division. The principal scene is modelled on the actions of SGT Simon Fraser after the battle.
Original monument dedicated to the Australian 2nd Division. Unveiled on the Somme, 1925. The statue was later removed and destroyed in 1940 during the German occupation.
At the Australian War Memorial, 15 stained glass panels are located in the Hall of Memory, each of which symbolises one of the quintessential qualities displayed by Australians in WW1.
