Accidentally deleted my Festering Gel, have killed boss 8+ times and it hasn't dropped again. Anyone else experience something similar?

Has anyone figured out a way to fix this? Sometimes relogging helps with a few pieces, but isn't a perm. fix. I've reopened game and sometimes it does nothing, sometimes I can place a few more pieces. I can't demo some pieces either bc they're supporting other parts of the base.
